this episode reminded me why I don't usually watch sport shows, she just thrown a match for no reason except of plot

Didn't help that Nagumo was running her mouth in the stands.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

This's why the peanut gallery needs to stay silent lol

wwlaos • 1 year ago

She was encouraging her friend in her own way. :P

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

Yup. That was predictably stupid.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

kinda, is a build up to show that they are still not serious about Judo..

Kaidoscope • 1 year ago

oh, i was watching dbz, opened this in a new tab because i wanted to save it if it was good, opened up something else, went back to this tab thinking it was dbz, went to the comments, and i was like "wait, she?android 18 threw somehow?" and then the opening played and i was like "damn, the quality is significantly better in this new opening" and then i realized, it was not dbz

Awww, she keeps a picture of them above her bed πŸ’•

is your yuri sense tingling too? coz mine does!

JadeJade • 1 year ago

YES YES YES YES! YESSSSSSSSSS!

Pukoy • 1 year ago

Michi has a big heart but she's bad for the team. She has no strategy, no common sense, she's always chasing the ipon and nothing else matters.

Noticed that our gals are more chubby & strong from ep to ep - a subtle hint that their Sensei created a good training program for them.

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

Who cares? They are enjoying their time in high school together.

And ippon is the reason she does judo. Do you want her to turn into one of those boring judokas who just wins by one penalty after stalling the whole match? She would probably rather quit judo than do that.

Nasty • 1 year ago

Michi has like the biggest potential of all the girls really specially because of her flexibility. If someone is bad its the glasses girl.

wwlaos • 1 year ago

Michi, it might offend your warrior spirit, but you should really learn to appreciate those wins on points. Not everything has to be an Ippon. :P

Nagumo... you don't mean!? D:

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

Ippon is the reason she does judo, though.

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

Hiura got a W while Michi took an L.

I felt Hiura's tears man. I wanna give her a hug.

Noah Winns-Cromer • 1 year ago

That girl in the flashback sequence got WRECKED by Hiura!

Also, the strict teacher nobody likes returns!

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Oh goody (-__-",)

JadeJade • 1 year ago

It is time!

Ohms Nuttachai • 1 year ago

So, Towa was just genuinely happy to win against Amane who she considered being a Strong Opponent. That explains a lot.

How ironic that this idea was imprinted on Towa by Amane herself.

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

Nice to see girls being friendly with other schools girls in sport.

lady vivi β˜… • 1 year ago

Girl, maybe wait until she’s not hanging onto the very top of the rope before dropping that bombshell.

dj10 • 1 year ago

Well looks like nagamo finally making the decision since she really likes michi and wants to be around her more she decides to quit kendo to take up judo ❀️❀️ i like it do what you're heart wants πŸ‘

Usami Mizuki • 1 year ago

It's unfortunate that they lost, the story moves too quickly if they won. They need more character development, and it appears Nagamo will join in on the Judo fun.

Toxick • 1 year ago

I loved that Michi didn't play defensively to win but rather challenged herself even if it meant defeat. Sanae and Towa encouraged her too so I don't see a problem even if she lost in the end.

(Yall forgetting that in Blue Lock's 1st episode Isagi literally did the same thing, only that he succeded to defeat the stronger foe. Don't be hyporcrits and change your opinions of her decision based on the outcome!)
Michi has the mentality to evolve to new levels!!

Is she going to jump train? :O

Pietje van Dongen • 1 year ago

The flashback kawaii kawaii kawaii
The way amane-san said it was good that she changed school meant a lot to Hiura
Even when sonoda loses, her ability to make friends is great
All or nothing for an ippon... if you don't aim for the best and keep a status quo you'll never reach the top.
Nagumo's father when she told him that she goes with her friends X'D
That's quite dangerous to shock persons who are rope climbing

Aotori Augustus • 1 year ago

people who says Michi throws the match and should have just played it safe has no idea what her actual mentality is like, it's not about winning a match, it's about winning the fight

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

Which she did not

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

But she still had more fun than if she had won on points.

Asagrimmr • 1 year ago

But that's not the most important thing according to op

Grandpa Lampshade • 1 year ago

She's going to have to learn that they score points for a reason. Sure, every boxer fights hoping for a knockout but if that's all you do, you're going to be the one to get knocked out more often than not.

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

Huh? Most boxers are trying to knock out the other guy, they just can't always do it. Guys like Sweet Pea Whitaker and the older version of Floyd Mayweather, who plan to win fights on points, are a rarity. And anyway if ippon is her dream, then that's what she should go for, regardless of what happens.

Also, modern judo doesn't really score points. It's literally 2 wazari = 1 ippon. The only other points are penalties. Judo would actually be much better if they DID score points, like the Freestyle Judo the AAU does.

Masumi • 1 year ago

Everyone be complaining about Michi, but I don't think she was wrong. It wasn't about this particular match, it was about going all out against a strong opponent she doesn't usually get to fight. And that's how you get stronger. She'll have some spectacular wins down the road, partially because of this loss.

motokare • 1 year ago

i know its for the plot, but its still annoying how she throw the match. but sasuga sports anime, gotta lose before you can win

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

Throwing a match means you lose on purpose. I think its sad that you're rooting for Michi to give up on her dream of ippon.

motokare • 1 year ago

she's annoying at this point. i'm only rooting for hiura /shrug

#S4TC 😎☝ • 7 months ago

Sonoda is hungry for a win! I like that about her hopefully she'll get an ippon πŸ‘€

Haruhi • 1 year ago

I want to smell it too

xCellarxDoorx • 1 year ago

I had a feeling our girl Towa would end up coming out of this match over her old senpai Erika with a victory. Nicely freaking done, Towa...😁

But damn it Michi-chan....Why couldn't you have been like Floyd Mayweather and just dance around until the match ended..... πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜πŸ˜

Oooooo, and there we have Anna's announcement there at the end....Let's just say, Aoba West's Judo is about to get SERIOUS! Can't wait to see what happens next! 😍

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

You know, her friends didn't care that she lost. They appreciate how Michi always goes for the ippon.

Lucyw18 • 1 year ago

so close yet so far

Kuzurine • 1 year ago

adorable ❀❀

Nymphaea • 1 year ago

I mean... I can't blame Michi for trying to go for the ippon because that should be the goal each match, but also it sucks that she wasn't more mindful of her defense and went for a throw that can be easily countered

Towa's seoi sequence was amazing though, the way she got under Amane so quickly had me glued to the screen

Dreamblade • 1 year ago

Because playing defense running out the clock is chickensh*t, that's why. This is youth sports, not the olympics.
